FLINAC-based Stand-alone IR FEL
•Tuneable from 3 to 50 mm
•Table top lasers, using non-linear optical techniques, can only efficiently access the region out to ca. 15 - 20 mm
•Current design provides a 5 to 10 ms bunch of 200 fs to 10 ps pulses each separated by 1 ns.
•Pulse energy varies with wavelength from 2 to 20 mJ
•Average power of the order of 10 mW to 10 W.
•Polarisation can be easily controlled.
Is there a case for greater flexibility and easier integration with the ER-LINAC?
